E-Prescribing Compounded Medications

To e-scribe a compounded medication, please follow these steps:

1. Locate Buderer Drug Company in your EMR system’s pharmacy list.
2. When entering the prescription, select or manually enter “Compounded Prescription.”
3. In the “Doctor Notes” section, clearly write the complete formula, including:
       – All ingredients and drug names
       – Strengths and/or percentages
       – Any special instructions or preparation notes
4. Choose quantity, refills, and directions as you would for a non- compounded medication.
